    Benedict-Miller offers metal shearing services for carbon steel and alloy steel plate, sheet, and flat bar. Shearing allows us to cut straight lines on flat metal stock; however, we can also produce geometrical shapes with a straight-line cut on sheet and plate. Shearing allows us to cut relatively small lengths of material as well, ensuring minimal waste and cost savings for you. Edges produced by the shearing process have minimal burr and a slight irregularity. Ranges for plate shearing are maximum 0.375" thickness for alloy and 0.5" thickness for carbon.
